Termite Treatments

LIQUID TREATMENTS

We use a non-repellent liquid that kills termites in 2 ways, ingestion and contact. Non-repellents are undetectable to termites. They can not see, smell or taste it, making it unavoidable to them. Resulting in them coming in contact with it, ingesting it and sharing it with the colony. Because it does not kill them immediately, they have plenty of time to transfer it to the entire colony. Although the effect rate is slow on individual termites, the control of the colony is much faster and more efficient than bait stations, significantly. Also, unlike bait stations, they give you immediate control of your termite situation. Independent and government studies have shown, where the soil has been undisturbed, there has been no break or loss effectiveness in close to 9 year time.

FOAM TREATMENTS

This treatment gets in the hard to reach places like plumbing, interior and exterior wall voids, under slabs and other areas where foam is recommended. It expands and fills those important areas giving complete coverage for your home. Foam uses a minimal amount of water keeping your drywall safe from wet spots and damage.

I am very pleased with the service I received. Devon was very informative. He explained everything well that he was going to do. He was very professional. I highly recommend his service.

3 things to look for when checking your
home for termites

Flying Swarmers

In the summer, reproductive members called " Swarmers" emerge from the colonies in search of new places to settle. Swarming can occur at dusk or early evening. They are the easiest way to tell if you have an active termite colony nearby. They emerge from the soil, wood, and even from behind drywall. Drawn to light, they can leave their cast-off wings near doors and or windowsills.

Look for Damaged Wood

Type of damage to wood will vary by type of termite. Dampwood termite damage is generally not visible because they plug entry points with fecal matter. Wood with moisture damage is most susceptible. The wood feels soft when termite infestation is present.

Drywood termites live in tropical zones and leave wood dust or pellets as evidence of where they have burrowed. Blistered looking wood is a sign that they have tunneled to close to the wood surface, revealing a possible infestation.

Subterranean termites are the most common termite to attack a home. Since the external appearance of wood can look fine when there is an infestation of subterranean termites, knock or poke wood where suspected to see if it sounds hollow or easily penetrated. Wood exposed to bare soil or moisture are the most attractive to these termites.

Formosan termites are less common but most of the time reside in the soil but can make aerial nests.

Shelter Tubes

Most commonly found on foundations, in attics, piers, floor joists, and walls, Shelter tubes are the termites way of protecting themselves from dehydration and allows them to move from their nest to the feeding site. Made of dirt and wood and held together with saliva and other fluids, tubes are brown in color and can vary in size base on the age of the infestation and if the tube has been disturbed. If a piece of the tube is removed or disturb and you notice damage to the tube has been repaired, that tube is active and currently being used by a colony. If you scape or remove a piece of the tube and damage is not repaired to the tube, it is mostly likely an old inactive tube.
